Sandstone is a natural product found in Pennsylvania. It comes 1"-1 1/4" thick and varies in color from blue to green to khaki as it comes out of the ground in layers. It is available in random sizes. Sandstone makes for elegant entrance ways, pathways, pool decks, or whatever your imagination designs...
Mica Slate is found mainly in the north west of the United States and Canada. This product comes 3/4"-1 1/2" thick and is perfect for veneers of buildings, or applied in a mortar bed. It comes in several colors; Charcoal, Gold, White, Storm Mountain, Sage Green, Autumn Gold, Windridge, Buckskin and others. Each color shines beautifully in the sunlight. Here are some examples:
